Training Program Coaches:
Meghan - Since she was born with two left feet (not literally!), Meghan first learned to swim and then to walk. A competitive swimmer through college, she found running the perfect escape from pool workouts, and good exercise too! And lo-and-behold when running, Meghan was not a klutz. After college she became a competitive triathlete, and running soon becoming her strength and favorite part of the race. Meghan LOVES to compete, but more importantly she enjoys teaching others how great it feels to be a runner.
Sophia - Since 1994, Sophia has not been able to get out of her running shoes. She is trained as both a sprinter and a long distance runner. An "East Coast Transplant," she has competed in two marathons and two half-marathons. She is currently training for her third marathon, using the same basic training program that Athletic Endurance has to offer. She has coached many athletes on the track and she will be joining us on Wednesday evenings to help facilitate your track, tempo and hill workouts.
Hallie – Hallie is the newest addition to the Athletic Endurance coaching team. She’s been an athlete since she dove into her first swim practice at age nine. She cycled at the collegiate level, competed in over a dozen Olympic distance triathlons – including the USAT National Championship in 2002, where she qualified for Team USA – and ran one marathon before retiring her running shoes. Hallie has a degree in Exercise and Sport Science and six years experience as a coach and personal fitness trainer. She comes to Athletic Endurance to coach our athletes on proper cross-training and stretching techniques and to help prevent those aches and pains that come with long distance running. You can feel free to complain to her on Wednesday evenings and Saturday long runs.
Hallie is available for consultations and 1-on-1 strength and stretch sessions. For more information about private training, email Training or talk to Hallie at the next Wednesday or Saturday workout.
