You’ll run with a group at your own pace building mileage at rate designed to prepare you for your marathon goal. Saturday runs are led by experienced Pacers who will encourage you during the long miles and help you reach each distance safely and effectively. These long runs start at 8:30am and are held at various locations around the city, including along The San Francisco Marathon course! You have your choice of Tuesday Evening or Wednesday Evening Track Sessions. Tuesday nights will be held at 6:30pm at the Witter Field near Piedmont High School. Wednesday nights we meet at 6:30pm at Kezar Stadium. The goal of these sessions is to improve upon running form, pacing, speed and strength. Each workout begins with a warm up and stretching followed by a speed workout, a cool down stretch and core strengthening. And, new to 2008, we will offer Tuesday Morning Boot Camp classes to supplement your running. These workouts will be one hour in length with an additional half hour of stretching for those who can stick around. Boot Camp classes will help you to build strength, develop balance and coordination and increase your flexibility all with the goal of improving your running performance. Designed to get you in and out, Camp will start promptly at 6:30 am at Marina Green (tentative). SOLD OUT! Just running Saturdays is not enough training for a happy marathon experience: You’ll need to run during the week as well. To help you with that you will be given a day-to-day training plan, outlining your training runs for the 21-29 weeks you train with us. Each month we will host free running seminars presented by experts in the running, fitness and nutrition fields. These seminars will educate you on how to achieve your running goals and motivate you to go for them!
